Football Turf

PLAY ALL YEAR, IN ANY WEATHER
Artificial football turf is a synthetic grass surface with a sand and rubber infill, built on a compacted, drained base so it can be played on every day in any weather. Classic Sports Infra installs turf for full-size grounds, 5-a-side box arenas, school playgrounds and rooftop courts across India. A full installation covers five stages: excavation and compaction with a drainage slope, a stone or concrete base, UV-stabilised turf rolls seamed and glued, silica sand plus rubber granule infill brushed in, and finally line marking, goals, perimeter netting and floodlights. Pile heights of 40 to 60 mm suit outdoor football; 20 to 30 mm short pile suits futsal. A 10,000 sq ft turf, like the one completed at the NIT Sports Complex, KT Nagar, Nagpur, takes about four to six weeks from survey to kick-off. Maintenance is brushing and infill top-up once or twice a year.
Artificial grass pitches that play like the real thing
Football turf is a synthetic grass surface engineered to look and play like natural grass without the watering, mowing and recovery time a real pitch needs. We build it as a system: a compacted, graded base, drainage, an optional shock pad and the turf carpet itself, in-filled with silica sand and rubber granules so the fibres stay upright and the surface cushions every tackle.
Classic Sports Infra has installed 10,000 sq ft football turfs at the NIT Sports Complex, KT Nagar and at Hingna in Nagpur, and a rooftop sports turf for Mont Blanc Society in Grant Road, Mumbai. The same team can deliver a 5-a-side box football arena, a school ground or a full-size pitch anywhere in India.

Get a free site quoteFootball turf: common questions
What does football turf cost per square foot in India?
Football turf is quoted per sq ft and the rate differs by city, as turf rolls, infill and the installation crew are transported to site. Turf grade, pile height and infill set the surface cost; base preparation, perimeter fencing, netting and floodlights are quoted separately. Share your city and plot size and we will send an itemised quotation.
How long does a 10,000 sq ft turf take to install?
Including base preparation, a 10,000 sq ft turf ground is typically completed within four to six weeks: two to three weeks for excavation, compaction and drainage, about one week to lay and seam the turf, and one week for infill, brushing, line marking and fittings. Rooftop turfs over an existing slab take one to two weeks.
Can a football turf be used for box cricket too?
Yes. Many of our arenas are multisport, with turf and netting designed for both box football and box cricket.
How long does artificial turf last?
Quality UV-stabilised turf with proper infill and regular brushing gives eight to ten years of play before it needs replacement. Infill top-up once or twice a year and weekly brushing keep the pile upright and the surface consistent.
Do you build turf grounds outside Maharashtra?
Yes. We install football turf across India, including Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Karnataka and Delhi NCR.
